Under <a href=\"https:\/\/italiarappdisarmo.esteri.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/2025-10-Cluster-VII-1.pdf\">cluster VII<\/a> (disarmament machinery, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=V9fcqeo2KRk\">video<\/a>), he mentioned the results obtained during Italy\u2019s presidency of the Conference on Disarmament, at the beginning of the 2025 session when subsidiary bodies were established in January for the first time since 1996. \u00ab We share the frustration of other delegations at the CD not fulfilling its negotiating mandate for many years\u201d, Bencini remarked, adding that \u201cthe CD, also by virtue of its composition, remains an irreplaceable forum to discuss sensitive security issues, exchange views and seek common ground.
