Under the Presidency of the Permanent Representative of the Netherlands to the Conference on Disarmament, Ambassador Robert in den Bosch, the Group had worked since 2023 on the progressive definition of these elements, on which consensus was ultimately reached.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">It will now be up to the next Review Conference of the Convention, scheduled to take place from 16 to 20 November 2026, to determine the possible next steps.<\/p>\n<p>The agreement reached on the basic elements of lethal autonomous weapons is a positive signal for the international community at a time marked by growing polarization and deep geopolitical divisions.
